Gelcha Kindu CWSは、イルガチェフェの南に位置するゲデブ地区の中でも、特に標高が高く冷涼な環境にあるウォッシングステーションです。標高はおよそ2,342mとエチオピアの中でも屈指の高さを誇り、ゆっくりと熟すチェリーは糖度が高く、密度もしっかりしており、明るく繊細な酸味と複雑なフレーバーの土台となっています。

ステーションはPrimrose Coffee Exporterによって運営されており、周辺の約2,700世帯の農家から収穫されたチェリーを集めて、厳密に管理された水洗処理を施しています。

完熟チェリーのみを手摘みで収穫・選別した後、発酵・水洗・棚式乾燥までをステーション内で一貫して行う体制が整っており、品質の安定感とトレーサビリティにも優れています。
